Armstrong reports his discovery of an apparent supernova (mag about 16.9) on unfiltered CCD images taken on Apr. 6.906, 9.963, and 11.063 UT with a 0.35-m reflector. SN 2004bh is located at R.A. = 9h40m56s.47, Decl. = +27o46'46".6 (equinox 2000.0), which is approximately 1".3 west and 6" north of the center of UGC 5161. Nothing was visible at this position on Armstrong's images taken on 2003 Feb. 6, Nov. 12, and 2004 Feb. 26, or on Palomar Sky survey red and blue plates. M. Mobberley, Cockfield, U.K., also obtained an unfiltered CCD image of SN 2004bh on Apr. 10.873.
