Park and W. Li report the LOSS discovery of an apparent supernova on unfiltered KAIT images taken on Sept. 26.54 (mag about 17.6) and 27.53 UT (mag about 17.5). SN 2004es is located at R.A. = 7h23m34s.62, Decl. = +41 25'38".3 (equinox 2000.0), which is 15".9 east and 27".0 south of the nucleus of UGC 3825. A KAIT image taken on Apr. 8.21 showed nothing at this position (limiting mag about 19.0). SN 1998C appeared 26" to the north of 2004es.
