Jacques and E. Pimentel report their discovery of an apparent supernova (mag 15.3 +/- 0.2) on unfiltered CCD images taken on Mar. 24.27 and 25.25 UT with a 0.30-m Schmidt-Cassegrain reflector at Belo Horizonte, Brazil. The new object is located at R.A. = 19h15m17s.44, Decl. = -54o08'24".9 (equinox 2000.0), which is 13" east and 30" south of the center of IC 4837A. Nothing is visible at this location on a CCD image taken on Mar. 7.32 (limiting mag 17.9) or on a 1976 Palomar Sky Survey plate (limiting red mag 20.0).
