Dimai, Cortina, Italy, reports the discovery by P. Dainese (Marghera, Italy) and himself of an apparent supernova discovered in unfiltered CCD images taken in the course of the CROSS program (cf. IAUC 7373) on Sept. 4.83 (at mag 15.0) and 6.79 UT (mag about 14.8). The new object is located at R.A. = 13h41m04s.45, Decl. = +67o40'20".3 (equinox 2000.0), which is 8" west of the nucleus of NGC 5283. CROSS images taken on June 27 (limiting mag about 19.0) and Aug. 5 (limiting mag about 18.5) and Palomar Sky Survey red, blue, and infrared images showed nothing at this position.
