SUPERNOVA 2005dw IN MCG -05-52-49
     Further to IAUC 8594, N. Ponticello, J. Burket, and W.
Li report the LOSS/KAIT discovery of an apparent supernova
on unfiltered KAIT images taken on Aug. 30.29 (at mag 16.7)
and Sept. 9.29 UT (mag 16.9).  SN 2005dw is located at R.A. =
22h13m31s.83, Decl. = -27o33'19".6 (equinox 2000.0), which
is 6".4 east and 11".1 north of the center of MCG -05-52-49.
Nothing is visible at this location on a KAIT image taken on
Aug. 12.28 (limiting mag 18.5).
