Snedden, APO; and K. van der Heyden, South African Astronomical Observatory, on behalf of the Sloan Digital Sky Survey II collaboration, report the discovery of five supernovae on multiple g', r', and i' images taken on Sept. 9 with the SDSS 2.5-m telescope at Apache Point Observatory by the SDSS observing team. Spectroscopy was obtained with the ARC 3.5-m telescope (+ DIS) by the 3.5-m observing team, showing four to be of type Ia and the fifth (2005ei) a likely type-Ia supernova. The discovery magnitudes tabulated below are all g' magnitudes except for SN 2005eh (which is an r' magnitude). The peak magnitudes are estimated with predicted dates given, and redshifts are also listed in the final column below. Predicted SN R.A. (2000.0) Decl. Mag.
