Puckett and A. Pelloni report the discovery of an apparent supernova (mag 17.0) on an unfiltered CCD frame taken with the 0.35-m automated supernova patrol telescope on Nov. 12.22 UT. The new object was confirmed at mag 16.7 on CCD frames taken on Nov. 13.02 with a 0.60-m reflector. SN 2005kd is located at R.A. = 4h03m16s.88, Decl. = +71o43'18".9 (equinox 2000.0), which is 0".1 west and 5".0 north of the center of PGC 14370. Nothing is present at this location on images taken by Puckett on 2005 Sept. 18 and Nov. 9 (limiting mag about 20.0).
