Crowley report the discovery of an apparent supernova (mag 18.1) on an unfiltered CCD frame taken with the Puckett Observatory 0.60-m automated supernova patrol telescope in Ellijay, GA, on Jan. 19.42 UT (and at mag 18.0 confirmed by Puckett on multiple frames taken on Jan. 20.42 with a 0.60-m reflector). The new object is located at R.A. = 10h59m30s.03, Decl. = +75o11'34".0 (equinox 2000.0), which is 5".1 west and 4".9 north of the center of NGC 3465. Nothing was visible at this location on images taken by Puckett on Jan. 8.46 (limiting mag 19.2). SN 2004bc was also found in this galaxy (IAUC 8315).
