Africa, reports his discovery of an apparent supernova (mag about 14.8 +/- 0.1) on images taken on Apr. 2.121 UT and confirmed on Apr. 3.086 at mag about 14.6 +/- 0.1 with a 0.30-m reflector. The new object is located at R.A. = 22h40m16s.10, Decl. = -66o29'06".3 (equinox 2000.0), which is 48" west and 22" south of the nucleus of NGC 7329. Nothing is visible at this location on Monard's image of the galaxy taken on Jan. 17.751 (limiting red mag 17.5) or on the Digitized Sky Survey (limiting red mag 20.5).
