Sostero report the discovery of an apparent supernova (mag 17.8) on CCD images taken with a 0.60-m reflector at Ellijay, GA, on Apr. 25.23 UT in the course of the Puckett Observatory Supernova Search. The new object is located at R.A. = 13h30m01s.80, Decl. = +13o24'56".8 (equinox 2000.0), which is 6".7 west and 1".1 south of the center of NGC 5185. SN 2006br was confirmed at mag 17.5 by Sostero at Remanzacco, Italy, with a 0.25-m reflector on Apr. 25.99. Nothing is visible at this location on images taken by Puckett on Apr. 15 (limiting mag 19.8).
