Joubert and W. Li (LOSS/KAIT; cf. IAUC 8741) and from K. Itagaki (Teppo-cho, Yamagata, Japan, 0.60-m f/5.7 reflector; via S. Nakano, Sumoto). The KAIT position for 2006ep from an image taken on Aug. 30.35 UT is given as R.A. = 0h41m24s.88, Decl. = +25o29'46".7 (equinox 2000.0), which is 43" west and 11".3 south of the nucleus of NGC 214. Itagaki's position end figures, from images taken around Aug. 31.60, are 24s.88, 46".5 (position end figures of the center of NGC 214 given as 28s.07, 57".8).
