Li report the LOSS discovery of an apparent supernova on unfiltered KAIT images taken on Oct. 1.51 (at mag 17.9) and 8.53 UT (mag 18.1). SN 2006iu is located at R.A. = 6h36m41s.13, Decl. = +37o36'05".0 (equinox 2000.0), which is 0".6 east and 2".0 north of the nucleus of the apparent host galaxy. A KAIT image taken on Feb. 24.11 showed nothing at this position (limiting mag 19.0).
