Monard, Pretoria, South Africa, reports his discovery of an apparent supernova (mag about 17.3 +/- 0.2) on unfiltered CCD images taken with his 0.30-m Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope on Nov. 6.737 UT, with a confirming image taken on Nov. 7.735 (with the new object at mag 17.4 +/- 0.2). SN 2006ms is located at R.A. = 20h38m20s.52, Decl. = -52d06'55".9 (equinox 2000.0), which is 2" east and 18" south of the nucleus of the galaxy NGC 6935. Nothing is visible at this position on the Digitized Sky Survey (limiting red mag 20.5) or on an image taken by Monard on 2006 Oct. 12.81 (limiting red mag 18.5).
