Electronic Telegram No. 753 Central Bureau for Astronomical Telegrams INTERNATIONAL ASTRONOMICAL UNION M.S. 18, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, Cambridge, MA 02138, U.S.A. Ayani, Bisei Astronomical Observatory (BAO); and T. Kato, Kyoto University, report that they obtained spectra (range 400-800 nm; resolution 0.5 nm) -- with the BAO 1.01-m telescope at Ibara, Okayama, Japan, on Nov. 21.8 UT -- of the variable star in Leo that was announced on CBET 746. The spectra show characteristics of a dwarf nova in outburst; H-beta and H-gamma lines are in absorption on a blue continuum, and there appears to be an emission component embedded within the absorption component of H-alpha. There are no other strong emission lines. NOTE: These 'Central Bureau Electronic Telegrams' are sometimes superseded by text appearing later in the printed IAU Circulars.
