SUPERNOVA 2007F IN UGC 8162
     T. Puckett and R. Gagliano report the discovery of an apparent
supernova (mag 17.3) on an image taken with a 0.35-m reflector at
Ellijay, GA, on Jan. 11.40 UT in the course of the Puckett Observatory
Supernova Search; 2007F was confirmed at mag 16.8 by A. Sehgal,
Osoyoos, BC, Canada, with a 0.50-m reflector on Jan. 12.27.  The new
object is located at R.A. = 13h03m15s.08, Decl. =+50o37'07".7 (equinox
2000.0), which is 10".1 west and 7".4 south of the center of UGC 8162.
Nothing is visible at this location on images taken by Puckett on 2005
Dec. 16 (limiting mag 19.8).
