Newton report the discovery of an apparent supernova (mag 17.8) on an image taken with a 0.35-m reflector at Ellijay, GA, on Jan. 3.42 UT in the course of the Puckett Observatory Supernova Search; 2007Q was confirmed at mag 18.1 by Puckett with a 0.60-m reflector on Jan. 26.40. The new object is located at R.A. = 15h13m08s.07, Decl. = +41o15'40".1 (equinox 2000.0), which is 14".5 east and 13".8 south of the center of NGC 5888. Nothing is visible at this location on images taken by Puckett on 2005 Nov. 15 (limiting mag 19.0).
