IAUSUBS@CFA.HARVARD.EDU or FAX 617-495-7231 (subscriptions) CBAT@CFA.HARVARD.EDU (science) URL http://cfa-www.harvard.edu/iau/cbat.html SUPERNOVA 2007be IN UGC 7800 Stefano Moretti (discoverer of SN 2004et) and Salvatore Tomaselli, Bastia, Ravenna, Italy, report their discovery of an apparent supernova (mag 16.8) on unfiltered CCD images obtained on Apr. 7.955, 8.12, and 8.819 UT with a 0.42-m reflector. The new object is located at R.A. = 12h38m06s.65, Decl. = -0d01'51".4 (equinox 2000.0), which is 18".4 east and 14".7 south of the nucleus of the galaxy UGC 7800. Nothing is visible at this location on Palomar Sky Survey red and blue plates (limiting mag about 21).
