Klotz, Observatoire de Haute Provence, on behalf of the "TAROT collaboration", reports the discovery of an apparent supernova (mag about R = 16.0 +/- 0.3) on July 15.02 UT using images of the 0.25-m "TAROT" robotic telescope at La Silla. The new object is located at R.A. = 12h47m03s.7, Decl. = -41o35'22" (equinox 2000.0), which is 73" east and 21" south of the nucleus of NGC 4677. Nothing is present at this location on Palomar Sky Survey images. Additional TAROT R magnitudes for 2007ft: July 11.02, [18.3; 17.02, 15.6 +/- 0.3.
