IAUSUBS@CFA.HARVARD.EDU or FAX 617-495-7231 (subscriptions) CBAT@CFA.HARVARD.EDU (science) URL http://www.cfa.harvard.edu/iau/cbat.html SUPERNOVA 2007kd IN MCG +6-21-36 A. Dimai, Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy, on behalf of the CROSS program (cf. IAUC 7373), reports the discovery by M. Villi of an apparent supernova on unfiltered CCD images (limiting mag about 18.5-19.0) taken on Sept. 23.12 (at mag about 16.6) and 24.12 UT (mag about 16.3) with the 0.5-m "Ullrich" telescope at Cortina d'Ampezzo. The new object is located at R.A. = 9h25m58s.01, Decl. = +34o37'59".3 (equinox 2000.0), which is 3" east and 12" north of the nucleus of the galaxy MCG +6-21-36. A CROSS image of the same field taken on 2006 Jan. 24 showed nothing at this position (limiting mag about 18.5), and 2007kd does not appear on Palomar Sky Survey red and blue plates.
