Chu and W. Li report the discovery of an apparent supernova (mag 18.5) on an unfiltered KAIT image taken on Sept. 24.42 UT; it was confirmed on earlier KAIT images taken on Sept. 12.43 (at mag 19.3) and 19.44 (mag 18.6). The new object is located at R.A. = 2h54m23s.90, Decl. = +41o34'16".3 (equinox 2000.0), which is 39".1 west and 29".8 south of the nucleus of NGC 1129. KAIT images taken on Jan. 25.17 (limiting mag 19.8) and Aug. 23.44 (limiting mag 19.0) showed nothing at this location.
