Monard, Pretoria, South Africa, reports his discovery of an apparent supernova (red mag 15.2) on unfiltered CCD images obtained on Oct. 13.79 and 13.83 UT. The new object is located at R.A. = 23h38m48s.41, Decl. = -6o31'21".3 (equinox 2000.0), which is 4" west and 17" south of the core of NGC 7721. Following posting on the Central Bureau's unconfirmed-objects webpage, H. Yamaoka (Kyushu University) reports that K. Itagaki (Teppo-cho, Yamagata, Japan) has confirmed the existence of 2007le at mag 14.9 on an unfiltered CCD image taken with a 0.60-m reflector on Oct. 14.565; nothing is visible at the position of 2007le (to limiting mag 16.0) on an image taken by Itagaki on Oct. 10.666.
