Olivares, University of Chile; and G. Folatelli, Las Campanas Observatory, on behalf of the Carnegie Supernova Project, report that a spectrum of 2007oc (cf. CBET 1114), obtained on Nov. 4.0 UT with the European Southern Observatory 3.6-m telescope (+ EFOSC2) at La Silla, shows this to be a type-II supernova similar to SN 1999em at about 25 days after explosion. The absorption component of the H-alpha line is weaker in 2007oc than in 1999em. Adopting the NED recession velocity of 2102 km/s for the host galaxy (from Da Costa et al. 1991, Ap.J. Suppl. 75, 935), the maximum absorption of the H-beta line indicates an expansion velocity of about 8000 km/s.
