Mostardi and W. Li report the discovery of an apparent supernova on unfiltered KAIT images taken on Nov. 21.56 (at mag 14.2) and Dec. 11.54 UT (mag 15.4). The new object is located at R.A. = 11h03m10s.78, Decl. = +56o13'26".3 (equinox 2000.0), which is 1".8 west and 7".7 north of the nucleus of NGC 3499. A KAIT image taken on May 16.11 showed nothing at this location (limiting mag 19.4).
