Sollerman, Dark Cosmology Centre, Niels Bohr Institute, Copenhagen University, report on spectroscopy of 2008et (cf. CBET 1466) and 2008eu (cf. CBET 1467) obtained with the European Southern Observatory's New Technology Telescope (+ EFOSC2; range 338-752 nm, resolution 1.5 nm) on Aug. 24.18 and 24.29 UT. Cross-corelation of the fully reduced spectra with a library of supernova spectra using the "Supernova Identification" code (Blondin and Tonry 2007, Ap.J. 666, 1024) shows both variables to be type-II supernovae somewhat past maximum light.
