McNaught, Siding Spring Survey, reports that 2009 MB9 (cf. MPEC 2009-M56; further observations on MPS 289318, 289477 and 289905) appeared cometary on Aug. 2. H. Sato, Tokyo, points out that the object appears to be comet P/2004 X1, the indicated correction to the prediction on MPEC 56804 being Delta_T = -2.2 days.
