SUPERNOVA 2009ii IN UGC 3627
     T. Boles, Coddenham, England, reports the discovery of an apparent
supernova (mag 18.5) on an unfiltered CCD image taken on Aug. 21.136 and
22.113 UT with a 0.35-m reflector.  The new object is located at R.A. =
07h01m05s.58 +/- 0s.01, Decl. = +51o15'50".2 +/- 0".1, which is approximately
4".7 east and 20".7 south of the center of UGC 3627.  Nothing is present at
this position on Boles' images from 2008 Feb. 10 and 2009 Jan. 2 (limiting
mag 19.5) or on Digitized Sky Survey Plates from 1989 Dec. 6 (limiting red
mag 21.0) and 1990 Feb. 15 (limiting blue mag 20.5).  The type-IIn supernova
2007bb (cf. CBETs 912, 916) also appeared in UGC 3627.
