B. Cenko, W. Li, and A. V. Filippenko, University of California, report the LOSS discovery of an apparent supernova on unfiltered KAIT images: SN 2009 UT R.A. (2000.0) Decl. Mag. Offset 2009lm Nov. 17.52 9 43 12.07 - 9 36 19.9 18.5 0".8 E, 25".4 N Nothing is visible at this position in a co-added image from KAIT exposures taken during Feb. 27-Apr. 26, to limiting mag 19.6. The new object was confirmed at mag 17.7 in three images obtained during the course of the "Palomar Transient Factory" survey (cf. CBET 1724) on Nov. 2-3 UT. J. Brimacombe, Cairns, Australia, also confirmed the presence of 2009lm at mag around 18.5 in a co-added image (limiting mag 20.0) from four 600-s unfiltered images taken remotely with a 0.5-m telescope located near Mayhill, NM, U.S.A. on Nov. 20.33.
