Giro, Istituto Nazionale di Astrofisica, Osservatorio Astronomico di Padova, report that a spectrogram of 2010H (cf. CBET 2130), obtained on Jan. 19.91 UT with the Asiago 1.82-m telescope (+ AFOSC; range 375-815 nm; resolution 2.5 nm), shows a spectrum typical of a type-Ia supernova around maximum light. Assuming a host-galaxy recession velocity of 4607 km/s (Ogando et al. 2008, A.J. 135, 2424; via NED) for the parent galaxy, comparison of the observed spectrum with a library of supernova spectra via the "GELATO" code (Harutyunyan et al. 2008, A.Ap. 488, 383, available at website URL https://gelato.tng.iac.es/login.cgi) shows strong resemblance to that of SN 2003du (Stanishev et al. 2007, A.Ap. 469, 645), a few days after maximum light.
