Electronic Telegram No. 2237 Central Bureau for Astronomical Telegrams INTERNATIONAL ASTRONOMICAL UNION CBAT Director: Daniel W. E. Folatelli, Universidad de Chile, on behalf of the Millennium Center for Supernova Science, reports that an optical spectrogram (357-890 nm) of 2010bk (cf. CBET 2231), obtained on Apr. 9.1 UT with the SOAR telescope (+ Goodman HTS), indicates that it is a type II-P supernova; cross-correlation with a library of supernova spectra using the "Supernova Identification" code (SNID; Blondin and Tonry 2007, Ap.J. 666, 1024) shows the spectrum to be similar to those of supernovae 1999em and 2006bp near maximum light. Adopting a host-galaxy recession velocity of 3000 km/s (de Vaucouleurs et al. 1991, Third Reference Catalogue of Bright Galaxies, version 3.9) for the host galaxy (NGC 4433), H-alpha is measured to be blue-shifted by roughly 12500 km/s.
