B. Cenko, W. Li, and A. V. Filippenko report the LOSS discovery of an apparent supernova on unfiltered KAIT images. The object was designated PSN J11122996+3123055 when posted on the Central Bureau's TOCP webpage and is here designated SN 2011bp based on the spectroscopic report below. SN 2011 UT R.A. (2000.0) Decl. Mag. Offset 2011bp Apr. 6.32 11 12 29.96 +31 23 05.5 18.2 3".1 W, 0".3 S Additional KAIT magnitudes for 2011bp: Feb. 12.15 UT, [19.3; Apr. 10.31, 18.6. J. M. Silverman and A. V. Filippenko, University of California, Berkeley, report that inspection of a low-signal-to-noise-ratio CCD spectrum (range 340-1000 nm), obtained by V. N. Bennert (University of California, Santa Barbara) on Apr. 13 UT with the 3-m Shane reflector (+ Kast) at Lick Observatory, shows that PSN J11122996+3123055 = SN 2011bp is likely a type-Ib supernova.
