Puckett and A. Pelloni (cf. IAUC 8580) and by N. Ponticello, M. Baek, J. Burket, and W. Li (LOSS/KAIT; cf. IAUC 8594). Puckett reports the following position for 2005dz: R.A. = 23h38m38s.33, Decl. = +5o26'17".3 (equinox 2000.0), which is 24" east and 16" north of the center of UGC 12717. Li provides position end figures 38s.28, 17".1 for 2005dz. Available approximate magnitudes for 2005dz: July 27 UT, [19.8 (Puckett); 29, [19.8 (Puckett); Sept. 2.30, [19.0 (KAIT); 10.21, 18 (Puckett); 11.31, 18.1 (KAIT).
