Miller, Charleston, IL, report the discovery of an apparent supernova (mag 18.1) on an unfiltered CCD frame (limiting mag about 20.4) taken with a 0.40-m Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope on Mar. 25.39 UT; it was confirmed at mag 18.2 on an unfiltered frame taken on Mar. 27.31. The new object is located at R.A. = 13h59m11s.52, Decl. = +27o52'17".5 (equinox 2000.0), which is 0".2 west and 2".6 north of the center of its apparent host galaxy. Nothing was present at this location on unfiltered CCD frames taken by Holmes on Feb. 19 and 24 (limiting mag about 20.2) or on Palomar Sky Survey plates taken on 1996 July 8 (limiting red mag about 21.0) and 1950 Apr. 18 (limiting red mag 20.7).
