Prasad and W. Li report the LOSS/KAIT discovery of an apparent supernova (mag 18.0) on an unfiltered KAIT image taken on Oct. 26.44 UT. The new object is located at R.A. = 5h00m41s.99, Decl. = +62d15'19".0 (equinox 2000.0), which is 12".4 west and 40".1 north of the center of UGC 3218.
