Pelloni report the discovery of an apparent supernova (mag 15.8) on CCD images taken with a 0.60-m reflector at Ellijay, GA, on Oct. 26.24 UT in the course of the Puckett Observatory Supernova Search. The object is located at R.A. = 5h56m23s.51, Decl. = +85o54'38".8 (equinox 2000.0), which is 41".1 east and 14".2 south of the center of UGC 3336. The new object was confirmed at mag 16.2 by D. Lane on Nov. 12.16 UT with a 0.28-m reflector at Stillwater Lake, NS. Nothing is visible at this location on images taken by Puckett on Sept. 15 (limiting mag 19.5) or on earlier images taken over the last four years by Puckett. The type-Ia supernova 2003ij (cf. IAUC 8210) also appeared in UGC 3336. NOTE: These 'Central Bureau Electronic Telegrams' are sometimes superseded by text appearing later in the printed IAU Circulars.
