Sand, Steward Observatory, in collaboration with D. Zaritsky, S. Herbert-Fort, S. Sivanandram, and D. Clowe, reports the discovery of five type-Ia supernovae on g-band images obtained at the Steward Observatory 2.3-m Bok telescope (+ 90Prime imager) on 2006 Dec. 16 UT. In each case, no transient was detected in a "90Prime" imaging run during 2006 Nov. 15-18 (or many previous "90Prime" imaging epochs) down to a limiting point-source magnitude of g about 23. Follow-up spectroscopy was done with the Blue Channel Spectrograph at the MMT during Dec. 20.15-20.50. T. Matheson confirmed the identifications of each object as a type-Ia event. SN 2006 UT R.A.
