Khandrika and W. Li report the discovery of an apparent supernova (mag 18.2) on unfiltered KAIT images taken on July 9.43 and 10.43 UT. The new object is located at R.A. = 23h36m13s.98, Decl. = +2o09'30".4 (equinox 2000.0), which is 2".5 west and 12".4 north of the nucleus of NGC 7714. KAIT images taken on Jan. 8.10 (limiting mag 19.5) and June 22.45 (limiting mag 18.6) showed nothing at this location.
