Parisky and W. Li report the discovery of an apparent supernova on unfiltered KAIT images taken on Sept. 28.44 (at mag 18.3) and Oct. 6.47 UT (mag 17.6). The new object is located at R.A. = 3h42m23s.26, Decl. = +39o14'30".4 (equinox 2000.0), which is 8".7 west and 9".8 south of the nucleus of UGC 2828. A KAIT image taken on Sept. 23.53 showed nothing at this location (limiting mag 19.3). The type-Ia supernova 2006es (cf. IAUC 8745) also appeared in this galaxy.
