Li reports the discovery of an apparent supernova on unfiltered KAIT images taken on Dec. 23.49 (at mag 18.5) and 31.53 UT (mag 15.7). The new object is located at R.A. = 10h09m19s.98, Decl. = +14o59'32".8 (equinox 2000.0), which is 3".7 east and 5".4 north of the nucleus of the apparent host galaxy. A KAIT image taken on Dec. 15.48 shows nothing at this location (limiting mag 19.4).
