Newton, Portal, AZ, U.S.A; and T. Puckett, Ellijay, GA, U.S.A., report the discovery of an apparent supernova (mag 16.5) on unfiltered CCD images (limiting mag 19.5) taken with a 0.40-m reflector at Portal on Mar. 2.33 UT in the course of the Puckett Observatory Supernova Search. The new object was confirmed at mag 16.5 on images (limiting mag 20.2) taken by T. Orff on Mar. 3.09 with the Ellijay 0.60-m reflector. SN 2008at is located at R.A. = 10h27m12s.35, Decl. = +71o24'56".4 (equinox 2000.0), which is 4".2 east and 7".1 south of the center of UGC 5645. Nothing is visible at this position on images taken by Puckett on 2007 May 29 (limiting mag 18.7).
