LaCluyze, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, on the behalf CHASE project, report the discovery of an apparent supernova (mag approximately 17.7) on a luminance- filter images taken on May 24.02 and 25.10 UT with the 0.41-m "PROMPT 2" telescope located at Cerro Tololo. The new object is located at R.A. = 9h42m22s.89 +/- 0".1, Decl. = -3o45'10".1 +/- 0".1 (equinox 2000.0). Nothing is visible at this position on archival images taken on Apr. 21.01 and 26.01 (limiting mag 18.0).
