After posting on the Central Bureau's unconfirmed- objects webpage, M. Nissinen and V.-P. Hentunen (Varkaus, Finland) write that confirming unfiltered images were obtained remotely with a GRAS Observatory 30-cm telescope (+ SBIG ST8E CCD camera) near Mayhill, NM, U.S.A., on June 26.17; they report the new object at red mag 15.6 with position end figures 06s.81, 29".9 (offset 20" east and 82" north), adding that nothing is visible at this position on a red Digitized Sky Survey image (no date or limiting magnitude provided).
