SUPERNOVA 2009jt
     Further to CBET 1960, A. J. Drake, S. G. Djorgovski, A. Mahabal, M. J.
Graham and R. Williams, California Institute of Technology; M. Catelan,
Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile; E. C. Beshore and S. M. Larson,
Lunar and Planetary Laboratory, University of Arizona; and E. Christensen,
Gemini Observatory, report the CRTS discovery of a supernova in unfiltered
Catalina Sky Survey (CSS) images:

Further CSS magnitudes for 2009jt:  Feb. 20.16 UT, [20.4; Sept. 22.42, 18.7.
A noisy spectrogram (range 380-900 nm) of 2009jt was obtained on Oct. 12.30
with the SMARTs 1.5-m telescope.  Cross-correlation with a library of
supernova spectra using the "SuperNova IDentification" code (SNID; Blondin
and Tonry 2007, Ap.J. 666, 1024) shows this to be most similar to the type-Ia
supernova 1995D at 14 days past maximum light.
