A. G. Monard, Pretoria, South Africa, reports his discovery of an apparent supernova (mag 15.9 +/- 0.1) on an unfiltered CCD image taken on Apr. 17.105 UT; it was confirmed on Apr. 18.143 UT at mag 15.8. The new object is located at R.A. = 21h48m20s.22, Decl. = -34o57'16".5 (equinox 2000.0), which is 9" west and 14" south of the core of galaxy NCG 7130. Nothing is visible at this position in the Digitized Sky Survey (limiting red mag 20.5) or on Monard's previous images of this galaxy taken at his Bronberg Observatory on 2009 Dec 22.80 (limiting mag 17.8) and earlier.
