TAMKIN FOUNDATION GRANT
     The Central Bureau and Comet Science Laboratory gratefully acknowledge
a generous new grant (supplementing several earlier ones) from The Tamkin
Foundation for updating old computer systems in the focus on cometary
science, including those objects that can come close to the earth.
Foundation President S. Tamkin writes:  "The Tamkin Foundation has held an
ongoing, long-term commitment to support efforts directed toward the
appraisal, understanding and management of the existential threat to
mankind from near-earth objects, and appreciates the invaluable work
performed by the CBAT and the Minor Planet Center."
