Pike, Minor Planet Center, reports that the MPC has identified a recovery of comet P/1999 RO_28 (cf. IAUC 7253) as a presumably stellar object in observations made with the 8.4-m f/1.2 Simonyi Survey Telescope at El Penon (Cerro Pachon), Chile, last July in the course of the "Legacy Survey of Space and Time" (LSST); the recovery observations are tabulated below (from MPEC 2026-L53). 2025 UT R.A. The following linked orbital elements by S. Nakano (Central Bureau) are from 118 observations spanning 1999 Sept. 7- 2025 July 20 (mean residual 0".7). The comet passed 3.99 AU from Saturn on 2009 Apr. 8 and 0.69 AU from Jupiter on 2017 June 26 UT; the comet will pass 0.40 AU from Jupiter on 2028 June 6 UT.
