X-RAY BURSTS
     J. H. Swank; R. H. Becker, S. H. Pravdo and P. J. Serlemitsos,
Goddard Space Flight Center, report that during observations of 3U
1837+04 in 1975 six bursts occurred, on Oct. 4.6736, 5.3267, 5.5304,
6.5992, 6.9059 and 7.6531 UT.  Three of the bursts were observed in
the energy range 2-24 keV by a pointed detector with a 3o circular
field of view.  The count rate increased by a factor of 4 to the
level of the Crab in less than 1s and decayed in approximately 10s.
The three other bursts, also of ~ 10s duration, were observed by a
scanning detector, and the data are consistent with 3U 1837+04 as
the source.  The peak count rate was at the level of 0.6 times the
Crab in the energy range 2-60 keV.


PERIODIC COMET KOHOUTEK (1975c)
     E. Roemer, University of Arizona, provides the following precise
positions, obtained using the Steward Observatory1s 229-cm
reflector and 140-mm image tube (RG2 filter, 127-04 emulsion).  J.
