Rosino, Asiago Astrophysical Observatory, cables that he has discovered a supernova 10" east and 15" south of the nucleus of the galaxy VV 5-26-14 (Vorontsov-Vel'yaminov and Arkhipova 1964, Morfologicheskij Katalog Galaktik) = Zw 155-16 (Zwicky and Herzog 1963, Catalogue of Galaxies and Clusters of Galaxies) = Anon. 1045+26 (de Vaucouleurs et al. 1976, Second Reference Catalogue of Bright Galaxies), a faint ScI galaxy located at R.A. = 10h45m.7, Decl. = +26o51' (equinox 1950.0). On Jan 15.93 UT the supernova had a photographic magnitude of 16.5. The supernova 1971U occurred in the same galaxy (cf. IAUC 2378). PERIODIC COMET FAYE (1976i) M. P. Candy, Perth Observatory, communicates the following precise position, obtained by P. Jekabsons with the 33-cm astrograph at Bickley: 1976 UT R. A. (1950) Decl.
