COMET FUJIKAWA (1978n)
     Y. Kozai, Tokyo Astronomical Observatory, telexes that
Shigehisa Fujikawa, Onohara, Kagawa, has discovered a cometlike object
as shown below. The object has been confirmed by E. Everhart,
Chamberlin Observatory, University of Denver.

     1978 UT          R. A. (1950) Decl.    m1      Observer
     Oct.  9.81250   10 23.8     + 5 24     11      Fukikawa
          10.46528   10 23.0     + 6 02     11      Everhart

S. Fujikawa (Onohara). Object diffuse without condensation.
E. Everhart (Denver). Object diffuse with slight condensation.

COMET SEARGENT (1978m)
     D. Herald, Kambah, near Canberra, provides the following additional
precise positions:

     1978 UT             R. A. (1950) Decl.
     Oct.  6.73611   11 49 49.09    -45 15 27.9
           6.74389   11 49 48.29    -45 16 17.3

     The following improved parabolic orbital elements, by the
undersigned, are from seven observations Oct. 2 to 6:

       T = 1978 Sept. 14.859 ET  Peri. = 207.787
                                 Node  =  41.049   1950.0
       q = 0.37050 AU            Incl. =  67.899

1978 SB
     The following positions have been reported:

     1978 UT             R. A. (1950) Decl.        Observer
     Oct.  6.28264     0 04.3       -14 25         Helin
           7.27750     0 01 30.0    -14 08 22      Bowell

E. Helin (Palomar Mountain Observatory). 46-cm Schmidt telescope.
E. Bowell (Lowell Observatory). 107-cm reflector. Semiaccurate
   position. UBV photometry on Oct. 7.269 UT gave mean values V =
   13.95 +/- 0.02, B-V = +0.76 +/- 0.03, U-B = +0.41 +/- 0.04.
