TWX 710-320-6842 ASTROGRAM CAM Telephone 617-864-5758 COMET BRADFIELD (1979c) William A. Bradfield, Dernancourt, near Adelaide, reports the discovery of a comet. The following observational information is available: 1979 UT R. A. (1950) Decl. m1 Observer June 24.417 8 37.5 - 1 20 10 Bradfield 25.417 8 34.9 - 0 10 10 Tregaskis W. A. Bradfield (Dernancourt, near Adelaide). Object diffuse without condensation, nothing reported about a tail. T. B. Tregaskis (Mount Eliza, near Melbourne). Object diffuse with slight condensation, coma diameter 3'. NOVALIKE OBJECT IN CENTAURUS P. Seitzer, G. Smith and B. Ross, Mount Stromlo Observatory, report that a plate of the Cen X-4 region obtained on June 14.38 UT with the Yale-Columbia 66-cm refractor showed an object at the position given on IAUC 3362. The object was at the plate limit (B 18) and had therefore faded by five magnitudes since the estimate given on IAUC 3362. SUPERNOVA IN NGC 4321 J. Mattei, American Association of Variable Star Observers, communicates the following visual magnitude estimates: May 26.09 UT, 13.4 (J. de Young, Scottsville, VA); 27.09, 13.5 (de Young); 30.3, 13.7 (R. Annal, Barstow, CA); June 13.11, 13.8 (C. Stephan, Solon, OH); 13.14, 14.0 (T. Fetterman, South Bound Brook, NJ); 14.2, 14.3 (Annal). Corrigendum. The designation of this galaxy was incorrectly given as NGC 4301 on IAUC 3371. NOVALIKE OBJECT IN VULPECULA J. Mattei also provides visual magnitude estimates for this object as follows: June 13.27, 9.0 (Stephan); 14.09, 9.1 (de Young); 21.35, 8.9 (Fetterman). 1979 June 25 (3372) Daniel W. E. Green
