PERIODIC COMET SCHWASSMANN-WACHMANN 3 (1979g)
     M. P. Candy, Perth Observatory, reports the following precise
position obtained by J. Johnston and himself:

     Aug. 19.45972    12 55 54.53   - 5 48 09.2          13

Candy also provides the following orbital elements and ephemeris
(extended by the undersigned), based on 3 observations from Aug.
13-19, which indicate that this is indeed P/Schwassmann-Wachmann 3:

       T = 1979 Sept. 2.43 ET

   Incl. =  11.57                     n =   0.1426
       q =   0.9565 AU                P =   6.91 years
